Modified Report Writer Support:
The Microsoft Great Plains Report Writer Tool acts as an instrument partners and end-users can utilize to modify standard out of the box reports. The Report Writer Tool can be used to modify Marcil Technologies reports as well. Due to the extent to which this tool allows for modifications of a report, there are limitations to the support we can provide on modified reports.
Our Technical Solutions Team concentrates its efforts on the support of standard reports, and to determining the extent of corruption in your modified reports. Determining the extent of the modifications will be up too the discretion of the technician after taking the time to troubleshoot your report issues. The majority of extensively modified reports will have to be supported and maintained through our Consulting Department.

We are always striving to stay on the cutting edge of accounting software technology, which is a key component to our development focus. In an ongoing effort to provide sound products with enhanced functionality, our development staff continues to move forward to new major releases. With each of these releases, it makes it difficult to effectively support past versions of our products.
We suggest that all of our partners and customers upgrade to our latest releases as soon as it is feasible following the release date. Our major releases provide improved functionality, enhanced features, and improved quality that will expand your accounting software capabilities. Discontinuing support on previous versions allows us to deliver quality and timely support on the most current releases of Marcil Technologies products. As a partner, this also allows you to be more effective for our customers by focusing on only our most current releases.

Import ProvisionsThe ability to import information into the data tables of Marcil Technologies products is inherent to their functionality. The Marcil Technologies Technical Support team can provide table and field information and assist with basic pre-import inquiries while the Marcil Technologies Consulting team can handle more detailed questions and assistance. These procedures are in place because of the following reasons:
